Trek to Avchitgad (Roha)

Avchitgad, a simple trek of an hour or so is situated near the Roha station of Kokan railway. The place was decided and the planning was done. We were going to leave Mumbai on Saturday 24th July by our private cars. We were total 7 people so we took two cars. It was now time to do the very less heard place amongst the trekkers, the Ajoba or Ajaparvat (Grandfather Mountain). The mountain is known to be one of the highest peaks in its range. It was the month end of June, and the Sahyadris were fully transformed into green color. The lush green valleys and the white fog crowning the mountain peaks was all which we were waiting for. This time we decided to do a trek in Alibag region and so the place Sagargad was finalized. Sagargad is situated 4 km away from the main Alibag sea coast and is also known as Khed durg.
